CONCAST ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THEIR MOBILE-READY WEBSITES
Mars, PA — April 10, 2012 — As part of their web-based marketing initiative, Concast Metal Products Co. has announced the launch of their mobile-ready websites: www.concast.com and www.greenalloys.com. No special software or apps are necessary, giving all with smartphones and mobile devices access to the new sites. The content for both mobile sites is a scaled-down version of what is accessible on a PC. However, the focus on important company information and quick access to alloy specifications remains the same.
A GROWING MARKET
With domestic production, Concast is forging a future in wrought products.
Modern Metals — March 2012 — During the past 10 years, the levels of copper alloy wrought production in North America gradually receded to a point where demand for the material re-emerged loud and clear, according to Al Barbour, president of Concast Metal Products Co., Mars, Pa. Feedback from Concast's existing customers indicated a healthy need for not only wrought products but also reduced lead times and smaller quantity commitments — issues that a dearth of domestic productions couldn't adequately address.

Alloys Qualify for LEED MR 4.2 Credits

Thirty alloys are certified as recycled content; using them in a product or project qualifies for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) MR 4.2 credits though the U.S. Green Building Council. Online tool gives customers easier and quicker access to product information
Mars, PA — March 14, 2011 — Concast Metal Products Co., a leading producer of cast copper alloys, today announced the publication and release of an online metals reference guide.
"It is important that we provide our customer base with a variety of technical resources," explained President and CEO Al Barbour. "This guide serves as an important part of that informational and educational effort. We view this publication as a critical tool that our customers will continue to use in the years to come."
Available online at www.concast.com as well as in other electronic and print formats, this 243- page guide gives customers a company overview as well as information on product categories, specific product offerings, alloy specifications, tolerances and special applications.
Full-color print versions of the guide will be provided to all active accounts. Those interested in obtaining a USB drive with the reference guide pre-loaded can do so by contacting the Concast Marketing Department.
Concast has also begun to utilize QR codes, or Quick Response codes, to provide access to information through mobile devices. The QR codes will be available for accessing the new technical guide at upcoming trade show booths and through other customer outreach measures.
CONCAST EXPANDS CUSTOMER RESOURCES AND PRODUCT SUPPORT

Mars, PA — February 23, 2011 - Concast Metal Products Co., a leading producer of cast copper alloys, announced today the release of five informational videos to support its North American customer base. These informational videos cover a wide range of topics and will answer user technical questions regarding product specifications, alloy selections, and material applications.
"Our website and other social media often serve as the first point of contact and information for our customers,” explained President and CEO Al Barbour. “Therefore, we challenged ourselves to explore and create interactive resources for our customers to learn about our products and services."
The new videos address key topics including product diversity, horizontal and vertical continuous casting, straightness and tolerances, wrought products, and green alloys. They are available on the newly redesigned Concast website and on YouTube.
S. 3874 Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act
January 4, 2011 - S. 3874 amends the Safe Drinking Water Act to exempt from prohibitions on the use or sale of lead pipes, solder, and flux.

Inc. announced today that it recently became the only continuous cast metals manufacturer with products certified as recycled content by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), a recognized independent third-party certifier and sustainability expert. Fourteen alloys were certified as recycled content; using them in a product or project qualifies for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) MR 4.2 credits through the U.S. Green Building Council. The alloys are grouped into four families: Aluminum and Manganese Bronzes, Lead Free Bronzes, Nickel Silver Bronzes and Tin Leaded Bronzes.
