PMPA MASTER PROGRAM TOUR HELD IN BIRMINGHAM

Birmingham, OH — August 11, 2021 — The Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) was held in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 10-12, 2021. The Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) used this opportunity to host three PMPA Mastery Tours. One of these took place at Wieland Concast in Birmingham, Ohio, on August 11.

The attendees were given the chance to see the complex production of continuous cast bronze and copper alloys in a real-life experience. All of the processes from batching of the materials for the initial melt, through casting, laboratory testing and analysis, and mark, pack and load were observed. These guests were provided a further appreciation for how their work pieces are produced, and how that relates to the level of performance experienced on their machines.
