With the removal of lead and other harmful chemicals such as arsenic and bismuth, C69300 is an excellent solution for water supply and plumbing applications. Corrosion resistance to chemicals inherent in water and gas also contributes to its exceptional compatibility with the plumbing industry. In fact, corrosion resistance found in 693 is equivalent to C314 leaded commercial bronze. Containing approximately 3% silicon, C693 provides strength equivalent to some stainless steel products. The silicon content also contributes to its good machinability and superior stress corrosion cracking resistance. C69300 has excellent capabilities related to soldering, brazing, polishing, and plating.
