CONCAST PARTICIPATES IN STUDENT DAY AT PMTS 2023

Cleveland, OH — April 20, 2023 — 230 high school students from 12 different schools visited PMTS 2023 to learn more about careers in the manufacturing industry. Wieland Concast was asked to provide a short presentation to small groups of these students and enthusiastically agreed to speak to them.

A general introduction to Wieland Concast and the continuous-cast copper alloy process was delivered. Elements used, the weight of the product in the crucible, and necessary temperatures were discussed. A level of emphasis was placed on the finishing process as well. The opportunity for employment at Wieland Concast was also addressed.

Many of these young people showed great interest in the manufacturing industry, specifically robotics and high-level precision machining. Wieland Concast was glad to interact with the people that will becoume our future industry workforce.
