Wieland Concast lends a hand to Toledo’s Ronald McDonald House

Wieland Concast lends a hand to Toledo’s Ronald McDonald House along with an employee donation.

Toledo, OH — November 3, 2025 — For many people in northwestern Ohio, Labor Day 2024 was a day for cookouts and one last trip to the lake. But for Wieland Concast’s Adrian Hall, the holiday would forever change his family dynamics—in the best way. More than a month before her due date, Adrian’s daughter, Adrianna, went into labor, and in the early hours of the next morning welcomed twins Amari and Aaniyah at ProMedica’s Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital in Toledo. While the babies gained strength in the NICU—and during the weeks Adrianna spent in the hospital before their arrival, she found stability, support, and a place to rest at the Ronald McDonald House. In total, Adrianna spent 70 nights under their care, a lifeline during some of the most uncertain days of her family’s journey.

On November 3, 2025, a group of Wieland Concast employees visited the Ronald McDonald House to support a fundraiser led by Adrian Hall. Team members Debra Beevers, Chris Davis, and Sherry Sullivan joined Adrian, Adrianna, her son Damien, and the twins to deliver a donation, serve lunch, and restock the pantry with trail mix and baking supplies. They also toured the facility with Adam Simpson, Communications & Marketing Coordinator, visiting the family room, playroom, commercial and personal kitchens, pantry, newly renovated sound-proof living quarters, and more.

Adrianna reflects on her time at the house with deep gratitude and a renewed sense of strength. “Being here meant everything to me,” she said. “The staff gave me so much support. It helped me reset and rediscover who I am. And being here brought me back to God—feeling grateful and knowing so many people were praying for us.”

During Adrianna’s stay, the Ronald McDonald House also became a crucial support system for Adrianna’s husband, Damien Sr., and their older sons, Damien Jr. and Josiah. Staff and volunteers made sure the family felt cared for, organizing a birthday celebration for Damien Jr., who quickly fell in love with the playroom. “It feels like home here,” Adrian said. “I was shocked when I first walked in. I’d visit and take my grandson to the playroom. It’s truly an unbelievable place.”

The Wieland Concast team extends its sincere thanks to the entire Ronald McDonald House staff for their partnership during our visit. We also appreciate team member Sammy Salisbury for donating puzzles to the playroom. Our support doesn’t end here. The team looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Ronald McDonald House by contributing to their ongoing aluminum recycling program.
